Recording of the opening of the European GULAG exhibition (7 June 2023)

On 30 June 2023, the European GULAG exhibition dedicated to the labour camps that were established in the Soviet-occupied countries after the Second World War ended. The exhibition was held under the auspices of the Deputy Mayor of the Capital City of Prague. The opening of the exhibition took place on Wednesday, 7 June 2023 at 6 pm in the refectory of the Convent of Our Lady of the Snows on Jungmann Square, Prague 1. It included a debate with historians Adam Hradilko, Jan Dvořák, Zdeněk Bauer and Wojciech Bednarski. The debate was moderated by Petr Blažek. The opening was opened by Jan Kalous, Director of the Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century, and Peter Rendek, Executive Director of the Platform of European Memory and Conscience.

The exhibition was accompanied by a Czech-English catalogue and worksheets for project lessons in history and social sciences.
