- Date: from 24 to 25 August 2023
- Venue: VHÚ - Army Museum Žižkov, U Památníku 3, Prague 3 / Mašín's Farm - Memorial to the Three Resistance Forces, Lošany
The theme of the summer school is the issues and context of the three Czechoslovak resistances and the year 1968 in a didactic perspective. The meetings will take place directly at the Army Museum in Žižkov and at the Memorial of the Three Resistances at the Mašín Farm in Lošany near Kolín. How can one approach more difficult topics in a museum exhibition? How to work effectively and creatively with students and pupils directly in the exhibition? How to work with different information and form your own opinion? Teachers will be introduced to new, modern exhibits. Renowned historians from the organising institutions will speak at the seminars, but teachers will also share their experiences with other colleagues on these topics.
The summer school programme is a space for this discussion, but will also offer practical guidance on how to help teachers work effectively with students and pupils in museum exhibitions.
