Interview with the President of The Orwell Society

Animal Farm or 1984. George Orwell's works that still hold the top sales positions 75 years after their publication. Especially when events such as the war in Ukraine resonate with society. According to Quentin Kopp, chairman of the British Orwell Society, the writer's timelessness lies in the way he communicated his ideas. "He was able to express complex ideas in a clear and understandable way," Kopp said in an interview published by Czech Radio. Link to the interview here.

Quentin Kopp arrived in Prague at the end of June 2024 on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition 1984: George Orwell and Czechoslovakia. The exhibition can be visited until 25 September 2024 on Prague's Kampa Island (opposite the Werich Villa).
