The Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century commemorates the 70th anniversary of the judicial murder of JUDr. Milada Horáková and the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Communist Regime

The Museum of the Memory of the Twentieth Century commemorates the victims of the largest political trial in Czechoslovakia with JUDr. Milada Horáková. We join the commemoration of those executed by the communist regime, which will take place at the symbolic grave of JUDr. Milada Horáková at Vyšehrad Cemetery on 26 June 2020.

On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Communist Regime, the Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century has prepared three online debates for the public:

Dr. Milada Horáková and the Greatest Political Trial
Judicial rehabilitation as a path to redress?
Efforts to punish the crimes of communism

These debates can be followed on the museum's website www.muzeum20stoleti.cz.

The 20th Century Memory Museum also joins the international call for legislation to ban the glorification of communism in Germany and the European Union, which is supported by a number of institutions, including the Platform of European Memory and Conscience. The call was initiated and first signed by Mária Wittner, who was sentenced to death for her activities in the 1956 Hungarian uprising, later commuted to life imprisonment.
