On Monday 27 June at 7 pm we invite you to the garden of Werich Villa for the launch of the publication Remember Me. JUDr. Milada Horáková and the greatest political trial. On this important day, the author of the book, Petr Blažek, the Prague City Councillor and also the chairwoman of the board of the Museum of the Memory of the XXth Century, Hana Kordová Marvanová, and the chairman of the board of the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation, Jiří Pospíšil, will honour the memory of Milada Horáková. Admission is free.
The publication presents, with the help of contemporary documents and photographs, the fabricated political trial of JUDr. Milada Horáková and other personalities, which took place in the spring of 1950 on the instructions of the leadership of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. Soviet advisers sent to Czechoslovakia in the autumn of 1949 participated in its preparation. It was accompanied by a massive campaign of dehumanisation and propaganda. The publication is based on an exhibition of the same name, which was prepared to mark the seventieth anniversary of these tragic events in June 2020.
