Invitation to the debate The historical context of the division of Czechoslovakia (14 December 2022)

Some regret its demise to this day, others soon got used to it. In any case, few states in the twentieth century were able to divide peacefully. Thirty years ago, Czechoslovakia broke up and two new successor states were created. What reasons led to these events? Were there alternatives to these developments? How is Czechoslovakia now perceived by Czech and Slovak society? We would like to invite you to the next joint evening of the Václav Havel Library and the Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century on 14 December at 7 pm at Ostrovní 13, Prague 1.
