Little Moscow in Prague
We cordially invite you to a historical walk around the buildings in Bubeneč that were acquired or built by the Soviet Union before and especially after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968. The vast majority of these buildings are still used by the Russian Federation today.
How did the Soviet side acquire land and buildings in Prague? What valuable property was demolished? Who designed the new buildings?
Meet at the end of Ovenecká Street at the gate to Stromovka (ten minutes walk from the Letenské náměstí tram station).
The walk will take approximately 90 minutes and will end at Sibirské náměstí in Prague 6 (here you can use bus connection 131 to Hradčanská station).
Walking route: Ovenecká Street, Stromovka, nám. Boris Nemcova Street, Na Zátorce Street, Wolkerova Street, Sibiřské nám.
Zdeněk Lukeš, architectural historian and member of the board of the Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century, will be the guide for the walk.
