A new episode of the Museum of 20th Century Memory podcast History and Context has been released, titled Across the Iron Curtain (3/2024).
The Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century and the Platform of European Memory and Conscience have prepared a new, expanded edition of the family board game Across the Iron Curtain. Players play the role of smugglers and help refugees from Eastern Europe to reach the West in eight different ways. Compared to the original version, the game contains several authentic stories of successful and unsuccessful attempts of Czechoslovak citizens to cross the state border.
In the new podcast, you will learn more about how the expanded edition differs from the previous one, how the Museum of 20th Century Memory plans to bring the game to students and pupils, and what Maruška from the eighth grade likes most about the game. The game will be available for purchase, for example, through the Alza retail network or the Kosmas bookstore.
The podcast was prepared by Pavel Hlavatý and the project is realized with the financial support of the City of Prague. Prague.
