announces a competition for the position of Head of the Department of Exhibitions and Collections of the Museum of the Memory of the 20th Century, z. ú. (hereinafter referred to as "the Museum")
Head of the Department of Exhibitions and Collections
- directs, organises and supervises the work of the Museum's employees in the Department of Exhibitions and Collections
- proposes and coordinates a programme of collection acquisitions in accordance with the Museum's long-term plan
- participates in the creation and installation of the Museum's occasional exhibitions
- participates in the coordination of the Museum's professional research
- participates in the coordination of other educational activities of the Museum
Requirements for applicants
- a citizen of the Czech Republic or a foreign national with permanent residence in the Czech Republic who speaks Czech at least at C1 level
- minimum required education: university degree - master's degree in history or related fields, curatorial studies or museology
- experience in a managerial position in a gallery/museum institution an advantage
- management, communication and organisational skills
- active knowledge of one world language, knowledge of other foreign languages an advantage
- integrity and legal capacity

The application must be accompanied by
- a structured curriculum vitae including details of previous employment, professional knowledge and skills
- a motivation letter of up to 2 standard pages (vision of exhibition and research activities, forms of public outreach during collection activities, etc.)
- original extract from the criminal record no older than 3 months
- a certified copy of the document of the highest education attained (in case of graduation from a higher education institution abroad, the nostrification certificate of the relevant university in the Czech Republic)
- written consent to the processing, storage and disclosure of personal data to third parties for the purposes of the selection procedure, for the entire duration of the selection procedure

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview.
