Hot Books in the Cold War Debate (online 22 April 2021)

In the spring of 1981, state security cracked down on the most important secret link between the domestic opposition and the democratic exile. The adventurous smuggling of printed matter across the border through this route came to an end. Searches, arrests and a propaganda film broadcast on Czechoslovak television followed. On 22 April 2021 at 7 pm, the Havel Channel will host a debate with Jiřina Šiklová, Petr Pithart and Jan Ruml, moderated by Radek Schovánek. The discussion is part of the series of joint evenings of the Václav Havel Library and the Museum of the Memory of the XXth Century.
