We cordially invite you to an evening dedicated to an old and universal theme: have we learned the lessons of history? What helps and what hinders this learning? Can humanity learn at all? And how can the study of history help us?
The fourth of five debate evenings on the waterfront will feature Patrik Herdics, a high school history teacher, Petr Hlaváček, a university teacher, historian and publicist, and Ladislav Kudrna, the newly elected director of the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes. Moderated by educator and religious scholar Jan Samohýl.
The event will take place on 11 April 2022 at 6 pm as part of the week of events of the Museum of Memory of the XXth Century on the Smíchov Embankment in the exhibition space called Kobka 17.
You will find Kobka 17 at the southern end of the Hořejší nábřeží embankment, diagonally opposite the ferry terminal, with several pubs and cafés in its neighbourhood. It can be reached either from the direction of Anděl, by walking from Výtona over the railway bridge, or by the ferry. The event is realized with the financial support of the Capital City of Prague.
